A powerful tornado hit the town of Polverosa di Orbetello, Grosseto province in Italy on November 17, 2019. The twister caused major damage as shown on images and footages uploaded on social media.
Severe Weather Europe reported that the tornado is likely at least F2, which means its wind speed could range between 181 to 253 km/h (113 to 157 mph).
According to Tornado Facts and Information, the damage from an F2 twister “can be significant. Frame houses can have its roof torn off. Mobile homes can be complete destroyed and train boxcar can be overturned.
Large trees can be span in half or uprooted. High-rise windows can be broken and blown in and light objects will be like missile projectile.”
